Travel
Visas
visas can be easily obtained upon arrival at Cairo International Airport. After landing, look for the visa counter before passport control — you can purchase a visa for $25 USD (cash), then continue on to passport control to have it stamped.
You can quickly check your visa requirements here:
https://www.passportindex.org/travel-visa-checker/
Transportation
We recommend either (1) booking an airport transfer through Cairo Airport Shuttle (you can reserve directly via cairoshuttlebus.com), (2) using Uber (make sure to use Uber Comfort and select “Speaks English”), or (3) using London Cab Egypt.
We strongly advise against using regular taxis, as they may overcharge and might not have air conditioning. Also, please do not rent a car, as it’s best to rely on experienced local drivers who are familiar with Cairo’s traffic.
Where to stay
We suggest checking Airbnb, as it often provides more convenient locations and better prices than nearby hotels.
We recommend staying in Zamalek, Garden City, or Downtown Cairo, as these neighborhoods offer charm, comfort, and easy access to key attractions.
